Interprofessional Practice
Welcome to Parts of Speech Blog! Parts of Speech is a growing speech-language pathology private practice. Speech-language pathology is an allied health profession whose practictioners are called speech-language pathologists (SLPs). SLPs have a broad scope of practice. Service delivery areas include all aspects of speech production, fluency, voice, resonance, language, hearing, cognition, feeding and swallowing throughout the lifespan. Although speech-language pathology is an autonomous profession, successful client outcomes depends on collaboration between numerous stakeholders. We do not work in isolation! To honor interprofessional practice and collaboration, Parts of Speech Blog will be sharing posts from guest authors in allied fields. Check out our first guest author’s column, In the Singer’s Studio with Kristen Ruiz!
Parts of Speech Scope of Practice
I established Parts of Speech Blog and founded our practice because of my great love for this field and the patients, students, clients and communities it serves. Language, literacy, speech, voice, social communication, and complex communication disorders are my favorite “parts of speech” therapy. I am honored to be able to present these offerings to you. Please check back frequently for our latest posts with updates about our virtual clinic and the musings of our guests authors.
